Ashland School District Facilities Assessment & Long-Range Planning
ORW Architecture performed comprehensive pre-bond planning work for the Ashland School District in preparation for a November 2018 bond. The effort was approved by the Oregon Department of Education for TAP grant reimbursement and as a candidate for need- and lottery-based state grant funding. The ORW team assessed 46 District buildings on 10 campuses. Visioning work included educational planning with District staff and administrators to address enrollment changes and identify which buildings were the best candidates for new construction or renovation work. ORW developed master plan options at four school campuses, and identified District-wide projects for all sites (safety and security, indoor air quality, power and technology, and accessibility), including preparing cost models for each option. ORW and District staff hosted three community workshops to identify community priorities and build support for the bond.
